Need help with Fitness Notebook? Email
support@fitnessnotebook.app and a human will answer, normally within two business days.
Telling us your iPhone model and iOS version helps us answer on the first reply.
Subscription and billing
- Restore a purchase — tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen. Make sure you are
signed in with the same Apple Account that bought the subscription.
- Cancel or change your plan — open iOS Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Apple manages all
billing; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds — Apple is the merchant of record, so refund requests go through
reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Free trial — new subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you are not
charged.
Backup and sync
- Signing in with Apple is optional. Without it, your notebook stays on your iPhone only.
- The app is offline-first: keep using it with no connection and changes upload once you are back online.
- Backup status is shown in Settings › Account & Backup. If a sync looks stuck, confirm you are online and open
that screen to retry.
- Signing in on a new iPhone restores your notebook; existing entries on that device are merged, not duplicated.
Calories and macros
- Targets come from the Mifflin–St Jeor equation applied to the age, sex, height, weight, activity level and goal
you enter, so check those details first if a number looks wrong.
- Every target is editable — open Nutrition › targets and set your own calories, protein, fat and carbs.
- These are estimates to start from, not medical advice.
Food search and barcodes
- Food data comes from public databases, so entries can be incomplete or wrong. Always check the label.
- Missing macros are left blank rather than guessed. Use Quick Add to type values yourself.
- Barcode scanning needs camera access — enable it in iOS Settings › Fitness Notebook › Camera. Frames are read on your
device only and never recorded or uploaded.
Deleting your data
- Delete Account — Settings › Account & Backup › Delete Account permanently destroys your cloud
backup and the copy on your iPhone. This cannot be undone and is separate from cancelling a subscription.
- Delete My Data — Settings › Your data clears your notebook from the device and, when signed in,
from your backup too.
- Sign out — removes the local copy from that iPhone and leaves your backup intact.
